Attorney Jumana “Gigi” Alkhatib graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida and attained her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida. In addition, she graduated from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. with a Masters of Law (LL.M) in Law and Government with a Concentration in Civil and Constitutional Rights, and specialization in Gender and the Law.
Attorney Alkhatib has practiced family law and immigration law globally and nationally since April 2013. She is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, and federal court before the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern District of Florida. Attorney Alkhatib is fluent in Arabic and conversational in American Sign Language.
As the child of immigrant parents who embedded hard work and community service in her, Attorney Alkhatib became an attorney to help persons in vulnerable situations. With almost a decade of legal experience in both the public and private sectors, Attorney Alkhatib is compassionate and fights for the rights of all her clients.
She strongly believes in community outreach and advocating on behalf of those who are unable to on their own. She has served as a Guardian Ad Litem with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and Attorney Ad Litem in Miami-Dade County for several years representing children who have been abused or neglected. She has also served as Legal Advisor for the Domestic Violence Committee of Arab American Community Center of Florida.
Attorney Alkhatib enjoys spending her free time with family, traveling, and giving back to the community.
